Auditions
2020-2021 Annual Session Auditions are for new students only. Students who attended the 2019-2020 Annual Session, or 2020 Junior Intensive or Summer Intensive need not audition. No audition required for students under eight years of age.
Admission to the Annual Session is by audition only. If a student is outside of a 200 mile radius of Portland they may submit a video audition in lieu of auditioning in person. See video information below.
Video Auditions
Prospective students may submit a video application. This video should show portions of barre and center work (as well as pointe work for females) and be no longer than 10 minutes. Advanced students have the option of sending a classical variation with their classroom work. A YouTube link can be submitted as a video. Please click HERE to submit a video application form.
Video applications require:
- Application Form
- $30 application fee payable through OBT School’s MINDBODY System
- Head shot and photo in a dance pose of your choice sent to schoolofobt@obt.org
Females: Black leotard, pink or skin toned tights and pink or skin tone canvas ballet slippers
Males: White t-shirt or leotard, black tights, white socks and white ballet slippers
There is a $30 audition fee, payable with credit or debit card, or a $40 in person audition fee, payable either by cash or check written to Oregon Ballet Theatre School.
Auditioning students will be informed via email of OBT School’s decision within two weeks of their audition date.
